Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

Huge turn out for Melange I Art Reception!

First of all, I need to say "hello" to new viewers in Finland and Brazil!

Yesterday's reception for Melange I at Maryland Federation of Art's Circle Gallery was a slam dunk.  The little gallery in the historic district was absolutely packed, with no elbow room to be had!  That might make for an unsettling Metro ride, but for art enthusiasts, that equates to a good time with great food, lots of bubbly, new friends and acquaintances.   The turn out was phenomenal considering the parking was HORRID due to early St. Patty's Day parades, parties, and other festivities.  Why Annapolis celebrates St. Patty's a week+ early is a great mystery.

I got to the gallery an hour early to help set up and took a photo of my wall.  Pretty exciting! I was really pleased with how it looks and it generated lots of interest.  I may have picked up two commissions in the process (thank you!).

I also want to thank Joann, Sharon, and Hannah, for all the work you put into this show!  What an honor to be part of Maryland Federation of Art!

If you are an artist or art enthusiast who would like to be involved with this great nonprofit, you can find out more at www.mdfedart.org.   MFA was started in the early 1960's by an Admiral and his lovely wife.  They loved art enough to cultivate what is now Maryland Federation of Art, the oldest artist-run art organization in Maryland, consistently voted best in Annapolis for many years now.

Annapolis is quickly becoming a top art destination in the U.S., having it's own art district on West Street in addition to galleries like Circle Gallery, West Annapolis Artworks, and those located on the ever-populated Main Street.

Thank you so much for plugging along with me.  Now, I'd better get to work...I have a ton of works on paper due at the end of next week for West Annapolis Artwork's new installation slated for late March!  I'll post details on the opening party when I get them.  Check out the website (www.westannapolisartworks.com) to see other house artists, including myself, who were hand selected by Su Anne Martinez, the owner.  I'm extremely humbled to be on her roster.

I hope to have new photos for you later today...
