Here's what I have for you to see today! Very, Very Excited!
I started out just wanting to complete "Swell" today but had lots of mixed paint left over. There was a canvas that I had previously primed with light blue violet nearby, so I put in on the table with "Swell" and just started playing with water, leftover paint, and my fingers. That second painting, a 12x16 landscape, is nearly complete and I'm very happy with it. Not sure what to name it yet. Do you have any ideas for me?
I finished up late today, so I'll need to take photos of them on the wall, tomorrow.
I'm really loving the abstract painting this week. It's incredibly liberating. The compositions are more difficult to nail down (especially balance), but interacting with the paint in such a loose way, simply guiding the paint, vs. hyper controlled strokes and tight lines, is really a great exercise for someone like me who tends to heavily lean representational.
This is where I started with "Swell" today.
