Geez. This piece has really been a labor of love (and partly stubbornness). I’ve reworked this piece three or more times before settling on a more simplistic composition with the rich texture that this local wonder deserves. This piece is headed to the Crooked Tree Gallery Arts Center for the Artist Guild Show. Tomorrow is the deadline for entries so I suppose I was cutting it close, but the Christmas season around here is busy and I didn’t get much painting done with four kiddos home over Winter Break.
