Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

Inspired By My Sneaker-Head Son…

Today I started a 36x48 inspired by a pair of New Balance sneakers that our 13year old son is in love with. Since there is no chance I’m buying them given his feet are growing at warp speed and I don’t even buy $200 shoes for myself, I thought I’d paint something instead that is inspired by the shoes. To be fair, the shoes are really cute but again, I’m a practical woman.

I love green, particularly olive hues. Here’s where I got today:

I anticipate getting quite a bit done tomorrow and adding in some warmth to the green, parchment, and creamy white hues. I’m really excited about this piece because it’s a composition of colors that I’ve not worked with in a while. Not sure why. The last piece I did that was heavy of green hues was “When A Neighbor Calls For Blood” and was sold last year.

Thank you for stopping in!
