Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

Busy Bar Harbor

Today I had three of our kiddos in tow for a hike at Acadia National Park, our most frequented summer haunt and a place that I will no doubt spend more time when we’re empty nesters.

Hiking was the plan but 90 degrees was not. It was 67 yesterday but today it was just too hot for a four hour hike.

So we ate lobster rolls, lobster Cobb salad, local clams, oysters, scallops (the best!), haddock, and local shrimp. We also ate a bucket of sweet potato fries, and of course I had to try the clam chowder (the only meh on the table).

While we were waiting for our food at a waterfront restaurant on a pier, I took some photos and one looked a lot like this watercolor sketch I did a few minutes ago. (below)

Tonight, my girls are in the little living room playing Scrabble and the little guy is here drawing/painting puffins with me. I couldn’t be more contented.

Pretty wonderful day. We’re going back tomorrow for some cooler hiking….and perhaps chocolate Whoopie pies at Peekytoe Provisions….

Whoopie Pies remind me that my fella played hockey a time or two for Macon Whoopie (the minor league hockey team In Macon, Georgia). He’s got a sweater (Canadian for hockey jersey) to prove it and it always makes me giggle when he wears it.

Stay tuned for maybe a watercolor of Jordan Pond?
