Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

Drying on my easel: "Tidal Flats"

This piece had been “almost done” for over a week but I wasn’t sure what to add at the end to make it pop. Then last night, my little guy (9) and I sat down at my little studio table and I finished it up. I added some heavy schmears of magenta (deep hue) and added parchment to soften it up a bit, some cadmium yellow (medium hue) and then a little teal mixed with a bright blue that I mixed up last week to complete the composition.

My little guy was really into his own piece, a tribute to Bob Ross, which is funny because I was watching Bob Ross on Maryland Public Television after school when I was his age. All our kiddos love Bob Ross!

I’m really glad to finally put this piece to bed. Inquiries can come to me on the “Contact” page of my site. This piece is for sale as of today.

Thank you for following along in my paint slinging and a hearty “hello” to South Africa, Vietnam, Australia, and London (among others) who visited my site recently. Hope you’ll come back soon and thank you for spending some time with me. I’ve already got another piece in the pipeline (the one with the metal leaf accents) so stay tuned….
